How to Make Friends
1. Make a Good Appearance
Think about it....... You most likely wouldn't want to be friends with someone who walks with her hair straight down her face, wears inappropriate clothes, never talks to anyone or even makes eye contact, walks trying to avoid attention, or even someone who is mean to everyone or a bully! I'm sure most of you would not be attracted to meet someone like that. Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with being shy!! Maybe just try to pull the hair back from your face so people can see who you really are, and not walking to not be seen would help make yourself ten times more attractive to making new friends! You need to learn to be confident in yourself then others will see you in that way too! DO NOT change yourself one bit to make friends!! Don't be someone you're not... Fake shows! Be who YOU are and trust me, people will like that!
2. Be Friendly
You can't make friends by not speaking to them! In order to have a friend, you need to make a friend. And by making a friend.... you need to talk..... be a little friendly. Keep a fresh, happy smile on your face. Show your personality. Talk to people! Most friendships don't just happen automatically with no speaking involved! Go out of your comfort zone and talk to someone. Just remember, be yourself. No one will like someone who fakes about themselves. I am sure you wouldn't have too much fun faking yourself either.
3. Be Careful Who You're Friends With
Don't be friends with someone mean, rude, or disrespectful. Don't be friends with someone you know you'll be pushed around by. Yet don't go for someone who's the opposite of yourself. Find someone nice, fun sweet, and friendly! Someone you can learn off of. Someone who wants to be friends with you too. You might not realize they want to be your friend till you try. Remember to be very careful with who you decide to be friends with. You never know what kind of situation you can find yourself in by hanging around someone. If a friend is starting to deceive you, get you into trouble, or make you do something bad, it's best to just back away and pray about where God wants you to be.
4. Be a Good Friend
If a friend is telling you "No" to doing something or having certain actions, it's best that you respect that. If your friend has a different religion then you, respect that. If a friend has a different curfew then you, respect that. Don't ask anyone to change who they are or even not except them for who they are. Do to others, what you would want done for you. Be a good person and don't judge. If your friend looks up to you and comes to you with a problem, give them the best advice you can think of and don't joke around about it. Don't gossip about your friends or deceive them. Be the kind of friend that you want.
5. Don't be discouraged
Maybe this advice hasn't been working for you. Don't think less of yourself because of it. Kids are cruel these days so just be proud of yourself because you aren't one of those lost, cruel, mean kids! You're so much more then that that many kids you don't know about are jealous of it. Many people bully, don't except, and are mean to you, and other kids because they are jealous. Joke's on them! They are loosing so much because of their jealousy and judgment! Even though I don't know you, I am sure YOU are an amazing girl, so show the real you, love others, and pray to God about making friends, and before you know it, you'll have too many friends to give attention too! If you need some more advice or are struggling with something, ask me about it. You can find information about contacting me below in the "Read More" section of this post!
Dealing with friends you already have. This can be a very tuff subject concerning how stubborn some people can be. If you are dealing with a friend that's not willing to let you be anyone's friend but themselves, maybe it's time to step away from that friend. If you have a friend who is very strange about needing to be with you, maybe you should back away from that friend. You can do that by not texting that friend often. Maybe even not sitting next to them in class or making them realize that you have other friends too. If you have a friend who is becoming rude or mean to you, maybe even bulling, it's time to talk to your parents about it, parental guider, teacher, mentor, youth Pastor, etc. Maybe you have a friend or a best friend who is moving away. Think about why God has taken that friend away from you. Have you been acting different around that friend then with your family? Does this friend whose moving away temp you? Or get you into trouble? Is this a friendship that honors god? These are all great questions to ask yourself wether you have a friend that just moved away, or just to ask yourself about every relationship you have with a friend. This is a great way to keep yourself out of trouble with a friend.

How to Make Money
This post on "How to Make Money", is written to help teens or tweens make money at a young age. This is how I earn my money. Well a lot of kids get paid allowance, my allowance is optional in a way. We have a chart that lists things like this: "Load of laundry- $1, Sweep house- $1, Clean bathroom- $1". So if I want to make a dollar, I have to complete one of the tasks on that list, mark it on a sheet of paper, and get paid that dollar. If you don't get paid in any allowance type way like that, here are some easy ideas to help you gain some money.
1. Bake sale
Get together some friends to help you bake some cookies, cupcakes, lemonade, etc. Put up some signs around you neighborhood, school, and hand out flyers at your church.
2. Babysit
Take a babysitting course (optional), then get the word out that you are available for babysitting.
3. Sell crafts
Make some neat bracelets, cards, notebooks, and sell them at you social events.
4. Car wash
Put car washing posters up around your neighborhood and offer to wash neighbors car.
5. Tutor
If you have good grades and do very well in school, offer to tutor students younger then you.
6. Yard Sale
Put together all your old things and sell them in a yard sale, garage sale, flee market.
7. Braid Hair
If you do really well with fixing hair, offer to do your friends and other's hair for homecoming, dances, events, or just for fun.
8. Photography
Take peoples photos, create mini photo shoots for your friends and others to sell the photos you take.
9. Do a Task
Ask your family members (parents, grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, etc.), if there are any cleaning jobs you can do around their house or your house for money.
10. Create a Business
Decorate t-shirts with your friends and sell those as a business, create a "Party Planner" business with your friends, a "Painting" business and draw pictures of people for them. Be creative.
Some of these ideas have come from a very helpful book called "A Girl's Guide to Money", it's an American Girl book my sisters and I have. If you'd like to check it out, here's the link http://store.americangirl.com/agshop/html/search?event=search&site=American+Girl+Shop&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&Ntt=a+girls+guide+to+money

How to Organize a Small Space
I share a room with one of my sisters, (and most of the time I'm the only one that cleans), so today I will share with you guys how I organize a small space that I share with my older sister, with 5 steps.
1. Go through everything
First you'll want to go through everything in the space you'd like to organize. If it's something that is not used on a daily basis, something that isn't important, you should put it away somewhere safe, like a storage box or something. Then put daily uses, and important stuff in a separate pile for now.
2. What space are you organizing? Find a place for the things on it
So now that you've put all of the things you normally don't use away, it's time to organize all the things that you do need.
If you're organizing a desk, try to minimize all the pictures and nick-nacks you have sitting around, maybe to just a small picture or two. Try to avoid stacks of papers and junk on your desk, those can be filed or put in a folder. If you have a little pencil pouch or container for your pens and pencils put them there in a small corner of your desk. Goodies and junk should be put in a junk box or space. Maybe you keep hair and makeup stuff on your desk instead of school supplies. You can put all your hair stuff in a tall container or drawer underneath your desk. Makeup can be put in jars or small tins. And perfume, hand sanitizers, lotions, etc. can be put on a small platform like a picture frame, you can lay a picture frame on your desk and it make a perfect little space for your perfumes.
If your organizing a closet, You should buy or find some good fabric hangers to keep your clothes from falling and pus them to the back of you closet rack. Put your winter clothes in the back of you closet if it's summer, and summer clothes in the back if it's winter. If you'd like you can color coordinate you clothes (I don't but it's just a suggestion). I like to keep all mine and my sister's shoes in a bucket that's stored in our closet. Put everything in sections (Dresses in one, shirts, skirts, jackets, etc.).
3. Keep it clean and neat
Every night (or at least I try every night, some are too busy), I tidy up my room. Mainly the places that get cluttered, my desk. It's SO helpful to clean or tidy up your room daily or even every other day (maybe even once a week depending on your schedule), then to let the clutter pile up and the messiness continue. It's really easy and if you just put the things where you organized them you'll find it a lot more helpful.

How to Get Along With Siblings
![]() |
and two within two-three years younger then me. I am writing this post with, tips, fun games, and ways to get along with your siblings to help you all with your brothers and sisters. Some of you may be an only child, some of you may have one older brother, two younger brothers, a little sister, three big sisters, or even a whole bunch of brothers and sisters! Whatever amount of siblings you have or however your family may be built, I'm writing this post for you so you can become better friends, and brother or sister with your siblings. I will be referring most things to a family type like mine, but please take it into your own situations and family type so it refers to you better. Here is how I get along with my sisters.
My sisters and I are very close and we each have a completely different relationship with one another. We do that by spending time with each other. Playing games, telling secrets, etc. Ever since we were babies we'd play games together which build relationships, like house, baby dolls, make plays/musicals, hide-and-go seek, wrestling, fashion show, dinosaurs, tinker-toys, etc. Even though we are older now we still play and do things together! Sometimes we do salon, tag, kick-ball, hair, all that kind of fun stuff for teens/tweens! With each sibling you'll find a new unique relationship. With one of my sisters, we tell secrets, another sister looks up to me, and another sister has been with me ever since I was born! God put the siblings that you have in your family for a very great reason! They are your meant to be, perfect best friends. So kind of like a perfect match! Here is what the Bible says about being best friends with your sisters: Proverbs 7:4 Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and call insight your intimate friend.
Sticking up for your sisters is also very important. If your sister (or brother) is having a problem with a rude or mean friend, stick up for them by watching for what the friend is doing to hurt your sibling and putting an end to it. Or even if you have a friend that doesn't like your siblings, hates how your sisters are always there when they spend the night at your house, tells them "no" and doesn't want them around or to hang out with you and her, then they don't deserve to be your friend. Only a true friend will except both you and you sisters (or brothers too). If your friend brings any of your siblings trouble, don't be friends with them anymore. Sisters before friends. My Mom always tells us that "Friends will come and go, but sisters will always be forever."
It's also important to not fight with your siblings. It is normal and 'ok' to fight, but not all the time for no reason. To avoid fights, lay down your personal boundaries. Let your siblings know what things are personal items, things they are no aloud to borrow or touch because it's sentimental or personal, tell them what you're 'ok' and 'not ok' with doing or saying. But do it in a kind way and ask your siblings what their boundaries are too. If you do get in a fight with your siblings, try to see from their point of view first, realize what you may be doing wrong, and try nicely to work out your fight before going to you guardian, Grandparents, or Parents.

Quite Time

*Psalms 26:1-12 ~
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?2 When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. 3 Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident.4 One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. 5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.6 Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD. 7 Hear my voice when I call, O LORD; be merciful to me and answer me.8 My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek.9 Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, O God my Savior.10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.11 Teach me your way, O LORD; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, breathing out violence.
Q: What was this passage about? (List on a piece of paper or notebook)
A: How can you apply this to your life?
~Lesson~
Every time a car drives over a bridge, it is a test of the integrity and strength of the structure. In verse two, David asked God to test his heart and mind to see that he was a man of integrity and that he walked in God's truth. David continued his request and pointed out that he didn't keep company with idolaters, hypocrites, or the wicked. David was not ashamed of God, but publicly thanked Him and told others about His wonderful works. David committed himself to spending time with those who loved and honored the Lord, and sought to avoid violent people. David intended to live a life of integrity, and he asked God to redeem him and show mercy, that he might be successful.
*List two things God uses in your life to test your faithfulness to Him and His word. What will you do differently the nest time you are tested?*
