The Friend You've Always Wanted

These are notes that I took last night at church. I thought you all would love to read this because they're great notes. Comment if you love it:)
_____________________________________________________________________

Ecclesiastes 9-12
~ We were never meant to be on this earth alone

What it means to be a true friend:

1. A true friend is one who will share in your success (Verse 9)
- friends are designed to help success your spiritual life
- friends must benefit each other spiritually
- are you a friend who makes success in anthers life?

2. A true friend is one who works to build you up (verse 10)
- if you go this life alone, who will be there to pick you up when you fall?
- we need friends to tell us when we're falling into a pit. We need friends who will tell us "don't go down that road."
- are you a friend who will pick another up when they fall?

3. A true friend is one who provides warmth in your life (verse 11)
- a friend needs to keep your life warm, and on fire for God
- a friend should keep you feeling loved and close with God
- are you a friend who will keep another's life warm?

4. A true friend is one who fights along side you (verse 12)
- the devil hunts to find you when you are alone, with no one to protect you and fight with you
- keep friends around you to keep you up and standing with the Lord
- three will never be broken as long as Jesus is the first
- Jesus will fight for you!
- Jesus wants to be this kind of friend to you, and he will be
- is Jesus your friend?
- are you the friend who will fight beside another?

Morning Routine

Hey guys! I wanted to share my daily morning routine so I hope you all enjoy.
     1. I wake up and watch some T.V while I eat my breakfast.
     2. Then I'll wash my face, brush my teeth and take my vitamins.
     3. I do my hair next. I usually will have my sister braid or curl it, or put a bow in it or a ponytail.
     4. Then I'll get dressed. Sometimes I'll have my outfit picked out the day before to save time.
     5. I do my makeup next. First I apply my Bare Minerals loose powder foundation and conceal with my conceal brush, then sometimes I'll apply a light pink shade on my eye crease from my Revlon Costume Eye pallet, next I'll apply my Covergirl Nature luxe mascara and either my Revlon lipgloss or Burt's Bees lip balm.
     6. And last but not least I pack my purse or bag with the things I'll need for that day.

So it was kind of a random subject but I hope you guys like it anyways! Stay tuned for my "Favorite Thanksgiving Recipe" and "Stores I Shop At" posts coming this week! Click the "Read More" button for links from this post....

How to Make Friends

Hey guys! Thanks to all my faithful viewers for over 2,600 page views! I'll be putting up a pole so please vote if you want a video put up once I get to 5,000 page views! Anyways, I decided to title this post "How to Make Friends" because I know that there are a lot of people and kids my age who are struggling with making friends. Hopefully most of my page viewers can relate to this and will be helped throughout this post. Also included bellow will be a small paragraph about making NEW friends and dealing with the ones you already have. Hope you like it!
     1. Make a Good Appearance
Think about it....... You most likely wouldn't want to be friends with someone who walks with her hair straight down her face, wears inappropriate clothes, never talks to anyone or even makes eye contact, walks trying to avoid attention, or even someone who is mean to everyone or a bully! I'm sure most of you would not be attracted to meet someone like that. Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with being shy!! Maybe just try to pull the hair back from your face so people can see who you really are, and not walking to not be seen would help make yourself ten times more attractive to making new friends! You need to learn to be confident in yourself then others will see you in that way too! DO NOT change yourself one bit to make friends!! Don't be someone you're not... Fake shows! Be who YOU are and trust me, people will like that!
     2. Be Friendly
You can't make friends by not speaking to them! In order to have a friend, you need to make a friend. And by making a friend.... you need to talk..... be a little friendly. Keep a fresh, happy smile on your face. Show your personality. Talk to people! Most friendships don't just happen automatically with no speaking involved! Go out of your comfort zone and talk to someone. Just remember, be yourself. No one will like someone who fakes about themselves. I am sure you wouldn't have too much fun faking yourself either.
     3. Be Careful Who You're Friends With
Don't be friends with someone mean, rude, or disrespectful. Don't be friends with someone you know you'll be pushed around by. Yet don't go for someone who's the opposite of yourself. Find someone nice, fun sweet, and friendly! Someone you can learn off of. Someone who wants to be friends with you too. You might not realize they want to be your friend till you try. Remember to be very careful with who you decide to be friends with. You never know what kind of situation you can find yourself in by hanging around someone. If a friend is starting to deceive you, get you into trouble, or make you do something bad, it's best to just back away and pray about where God wants you to be.
     4. Be a Good Friend
If a friend is telling you "No" to doing something or having certain actions, it's best that you respect that. If your friend has a different religion then you, respect that. If a friend has a different curfew then you, respect that. Don't ask anyone to change who they are or even not except them for who they are. Do to others, what you would want done for you. Be a good person and don't judge. If your friend looks up to you and comes to you with a problem, give them the best advice you can think of and don't joke around about it. Don't gossip about your friends or deceive them. Be the kind of friend that you want.
     5. Don't be discouraged
Maybe this advice hasn't been working for you. Don't think less of yourself because of it. Kids are cruel these days so just be proud of yourself because you aren't one of those lost, cruel, mean kids! You're so much more then that that many kids you don't know about are jealous of it. Many people bully, don't except, and are mean to you, and other kids because they are jealous. Joke's on them! They are loosing so much because of their jealousy and judgment! Even though I don't know you, I am sure YOU are an amazing girl, so show the real you, love others, and pray to God about making friends, and before you know it, you'll have too many friends to give attention too! If you need some more advice or are struggling with something, ask me about it. You can find information about contacting me below in the "Read More" section of this post!

Dealing with friends you already have. This can be a very tuff subject concerning how stubborn some people can be. If you are dealing with a friend that's not willing to let you be anyone's friend but themselves, maybe it's time to step away from that friend. If you have a friend who is very strange about needing to be with you, maybe you should back away from that friend. You can do that by not texting that friend often. Maybe even not sitting next to them in class or making them realize that you have other friends too. If you have a friend who is becoming rude or mean to you, maybe even bulling, it's time to talk to your parents about it, parental guider, teacher, mentor, youth Pastor, etc. Maybe you have a friend or a best friend who is moving away. Think about why God has taken that friend away from you. Have you been acting different around that friend then with your family? Does this friend whose moving away temp you? Or get you into trouble? Is this a friendship that honors god? These are all great questions to ask yourself wether you have a friend that just moved away, or just to ask yourself about every relationship you have with a friend. This is a great way to keep yourself out of trouble with a friend.

How to Make Money

                                                                                                                               (picture off google)
This post on "How to Make Money", is written to help teens or tweens make money at a young age. This is how I earn my money. Well a lot of kids get paid allowance, my allowance is optional in a way. We have a chart that lists things like this: "Load of laundry- $1, Sweep house- $1, Clean bathroom- $1". So if I want to make a dollar, I have to complete one of the tasks on that list, mark it on a sheet of paper, and get paid that dollar. If you don't get paid in any allowance type way like that, here are some easy ideas to help you gain some money.
    1. Bake sale
Get together some friends to help you bake some cookies, cupcakes, lemonade, etc. Put up some signs around you neighborhood, school, and hand out flyers at your church.
    2. Babysit
Take a babysitting course (optional), then get the word out that you are available for babysitting.
    3. Sell crafts
Make some neat bracelets, cards, notebooks, and sell them at you social events.
    4. Car wash
Put car washing posters up around your neighborhood and offer to wash neighbors car.
    5. Tutor
If you have good grades and do very well in school, offer to tutor students younger then you.
    6. Yard Sale
Put together all your old things and sell them in a yard sale, garage sale, flee market.
    7. Braid Hair
If you do really well with fixing hair, offer to do your friends and other's hair for homecoming, dances, events, or just for fun.
    8. Photography
Take peoples photos, create mini photo shoots for your friends and others to sell the photos you take.
    9. Do a Task
Ask your family members (parents, grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, etc.), if there are any cleaning jobs you can do around their house or your house for money.
   10. Create a Business
Decorate t-shirts with your friends and sell those as a business, create a "Party Planner" business with your friends, a "Painting" business and draw pictures of people for them. Be creative.

Some of these ideas have come from a very helpful book called "A Girl's Guide to Money", it's an American Girl book my sisters and I have. If you'd like to check it out, here's the link http://store.americangirl.com/agshop/html/search?event=search&site=American+Girl+Shop&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&Ntt=a+girls+guide+to+money

Why Should I Tithe?

Many people don't think it's important to tithe your money to the church and to give everything you have to God. Some people are afraid to, and some people don't know how to, some people even don't want to or feel like they can't.
I found this scripture one night as I was reading my bible and I think it will help a LOT with the concept of tithing and giving all you have to God.

Matthew 19:16-30
16Then the man came to Jesus and said, "Teacher, what good deed should I do to gain eternal life?" 17Jesus said to him, "Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you want to enter into life, obey the commandments." 18"Which commandments?" the man asked. Jesus said, "Never murder. Never commit adultery. Never steal. Never give false testimony. 19Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbors as you love yourself." 20The young man replied, "I have obeyed all these commandments. What else do I need to do?" 21Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, sell what you own. Give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven. Then follow me!" 22When the young man heard this, he went away sad because he owned a lot of property. 23Jesus said to his disciples, "I can guarantee this truth: it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of Heaven. 24I can guarantee again that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle then for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God." 25He amazed his disciples more then ever when they heard this. "Then who can be saved?" they asked. 26Jesus looked at them and said, "It is impossible for people to save themselfs, but everything is possible for God." 27Then Peter replied to him, "Look, we've given up everything to follow you. What will we get out of it?" 28Jesus said to them, "I can guarantee this truth: When the son of man sits on his glorious throne in the world to come, you, my followers, will also sit on the twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Isreal. 29And everyone who have up his homes, brothers or sisters, father, mother, children, or fields because of my name will receive a houndred times more and will inherit eternal life. 30However, many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first."

If you really listened and understood this, you'd know that if you give everything up just to get one houndred times more then what you gave, you won't. Jesus didn't tell the young man that asked him, that he would receive one houndred times more. To receive the houndred times more, you need to offer what you already have and ALL of it to God willing to serve him, and doing it only to serve him before you gain more. And the only way to give it all willing to serve God is by trusting in him and his promise, a and trusting ably comes with believing and a relationship with God.

How to Organize a Small Space

I share a room with one of my sisters, (and most of the time I'm the only one that cleans), so today I will share with you guys how I organize a small space that I share with my older sister, with 5 steps.
    1. Go through everything
First you'll want to go through everything in the space you'd like to organize. If it's something that is not used on a daily basis, something that isn't important, you should put it away somewhere safe, like a storage box or something. Then put daily uses, and important stuff in a separate pile for now.
    2. What space are you organizing? Find a place for the things on it
So now that you've put all of the things you normally don't use away, it's time to organize all the things that you do need.
If you're organizing a desk, try to minimize all the pictures and nick-nacks you have sitting around, maybe to just a small picture or two. Try to avoid stacks of papers and junk on your desk, those can be filed or put in a folder. If you have a little pencil pouch or container for your pens and pencils put them there in a small corner of your desk. Goodies and junk should be put in a junk box or space. Maybe you keep hair and makeup stuff on your desk instead of school supplies. You can put all your hair stuff in a tall container or drawer underneath your desk. Makeup can be put in jars or small tins. And perfume, hand sanitizers, lotions, etc. can be put on a small platform like a picture frame, you can lay a picture frame on your desk and it make a perfect little space for your perfumes.
If your organizing a closet, You should buy or find some good fabric hangers to keep your clothes from falling and pus them to the back of you closet rack. Put your winter clothes in the back of you closet if it's summer, and summer clothes in the back if it's winter. If you'd like you can color coordinate you clothes (I don't but it's just a suggestion). I like to keep all mine and my sister's shoes in a bucket that's stored in our closet. Put everything in sections (Dresses in one, shirts, skirts, jackets, etc.).
     3. Keep it clean and neat
Every night (or at least I try every night, some are too busy), I tidy up my room. Mainly the places that get cluttered, my desk. It's SO helpful to clean or tidy up your room daily or even every other day (maybe even once a week depending on your schedule), then to let the clutter pile up and the messiness continue. It's really easy and if you just put the things where you organized them you'll find it a lot more helpful.

How to Get Along With Siblings

I have three sisters, one being one year older then me,
and two within two-three years younger then me. I am writing this post with, tips, fun games, and ways to get along with your siblings to help you all with your brothers and sisters. Some of you may be an only child, some of you may have one older brother, two younger brothers, a little sister, three big sisters, or even a whole bunch of brothers and sisters! Whatever amount of siblings you have or however your family may be built, I'm writing this post for you so you can become better friends, and brother or sister with your siblings. I will be referring most things to a family type like mine, but please take it into your own situations and family type so it refers to you better. Here is how I get along with my sisters.
My sisters and I are very close and we each have a completely different relationship with one another. We do that by spending time with each other. Playing games, telling secrets, etc. Ever since we were babies we'd play games together which build relationships, like house, baby dolls, make plays/musicals, hide-and-go seek, wrestling, fashion show, dinosaurs, tinker-toys, etc. Even though we are older now we still play and do things together! Sometimes we do salon, tag, kick-ball, hair, all that kind of fun stuff for teens/tweens! With each sibling you'll find a new unique relationship. With one of my sisters, we tell secrets, another sister looks up to me, and another sister has been with me ever since I was born! God put the siblings that you have in your family for a very great reason! They are your meant to be, perfect best friends. So kind of like a perfect match! Here is what the Bible says about being best friends with your sisters: Proverbs 7:4 Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and call insight your intimate friend.
Sticking up for your sisters is also very important. If your sister (or brother) is having a problem with a rude or mean friend, stick up for them by watching for what the friend is doing to hurt your sibling and putting an end to it. Or even if you have a friend that doesn't like your siblings, hates how your sisters are always there when they spend the night at your house, tells them "no" and doesn't want them around or to hang out with you and her, then they don't deserve to be your friend. Only a true friend will  except both you and you sisters (or brothers too). If your friend brings any of your siblings trouble, don't be friends with them anymore. Sisters before friends. My Mom always tells us that "Friends will come and go, but sisters will always be forever."
It's also important to not fight with your siblings. It is normal and 'ok' to fight, but not all the time for no reason. To avoid fights, lay down your personal boundaries. Let your siblings know what things are personal items, things they are no aloud to borrow or touch because it's sentimental or personal, tell them what you're 'ok' and 'not ok' with doing or saying. But do it in a kind way and ask your siblings what their boundaries are too. If you do get in a fight with your siblings, try to see from their point of view first, realize what you may be doing wrong, and try nicely to work out your fight before going to you guardian, Grandparents, or Parents.

3 Best Apps

Hey everyone! I decided to do something a little different today by posting my persional top three favorite apps for my iPhone! My first choice was easy.... Instagram!

1. Instagram

Instagram is a social media app much like FaceBook. It's in the same categories as Twitter, FaceBook, etc. It allows you to create an account and share (post) photos that will appear on your feed and on everyone else's who follows you. On your feed will appear photos that everyone you follow post. You can like photos and comment on them. Instagram really gets you interested and  in-to photography. It's a great way to meet new friends and get to know other people better! I'd definitely recommend it!!! And if you're worried about random people viewing your photos you can flip the switch on Instagram settings to be a private user! Check out my Instagram: instagram.com/wedding_dress_bliss

2. Pinterest

Pinterest is another social media app. You can download this app on your phone and use the website .
On Pinterest you can pinn things straight from a website you like (You can pin this post by using the pin button on the conner of this picture). You can also re-pin things on Pinterest so they show up on you account. On your account you create different sections of pins (AKA- boards). Things you can pin on Pinterest are: fashion outfits/tips, makeup looks and brands, craft, hair, and makeup tutorials, recipes, things like 'traveling ideas', 'how to through a party', 'DIY dresses', 'how to save money', etc. You pin pictures like you do on Instagram but you can click (tap) on a picture and it leads you to the website for the information. I'd definitely look into Pinterest because it's so useful for EVERYTHING! I may have not of explained it well but once you check it out it will all make sense on how to use it! (comment any questions). Link to my Pinterest account

3. Polyvore

Polyvore is another app for my iPhone.... and yes, a social app! I absolutely love this app because it allows you to make outfit, home, & makeup designs! You have an unlimited selection of every type of clothing you can think of, accessories, shoes, etc. to put on a collage with a plane white background. You can do the same with furniture and decor. You can also look through makeup and make a collage of it. You can put text on your design, frames, articles, everything! Polyvore leans or is made for professional designers and stuff but it's still super easy and fun for anyone who loves fashion and designing! You can publish your designs on your account and look through other account's posts! If you've downloaded your Polyvore account be sure to check mine out: pinkdancer247

Quite Time

Hello everyone. Today I am copying a daily bible study page off of my quite time book called 'qt one year daily devotional for students, quit time'. I am not sure where it can be purchased. Once a month I will put up a new devotion from my book so you can follow along.
__________________________________________________________________________

*Psalms 26:1-12 ~
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?2 When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. 3 Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident.4 One thing I ask of the LORDthis is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. 5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.6 Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD7 Hear my voice when I call, O LORDbe merciful to me and answer me.8 My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek.9 Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, O God my Savior.10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.11 Teach me your way, O LORDlead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, breathing out violence.
Q: What was this passage about? (List on a piece of paper or notebook)
A: How can you apply this to your life?

~Lesson~
Every time a car drives over a bridge, it is a test of the integrity and strength of the structure. In verse two, David asked God to test his heart and mind to see that he was a man of integrity and that he walked in God's truth. David continued his request and pointed out that he didn't keep company with idolaters, hypocrites, or the wicked. David was not ashamed of God, but publicly thanked Him and told others about His wonderful works. David committed himself to spending time with those who loved and honored the Lord, and sought to avoid violent people. David intended to live a life of integrity, and he asked God to redeem him and show mercy, that he might be successful.

*List two things God uses in your life to test your faithfulness to Him and His word. What will you do differently the nest time you are tested?*

Matthew 28:20

Job 3:25

For the thing that I fear comes upon me, and what I dread befalls me.

Isaiah 14:14

Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I am the one who helps you, declares the Lord; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

Exodus 14:14

The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”

Psalms 118:6

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

Lamentations 3:57

You came near when I called on you; you said, ‘Do not fear!’

Matthew 6:25

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing.

5 Steps To Putting Together An Outfit

I hope these 5 steps will help you all put together an awesome outfit! Comment what you think!

1. Shirt: First you need to pick out a shirt that describes your personality. If you're girly, try some ruffles, a blouse, and pink! Tom-boy, try a T-Shirt that's your favorite color, that has your team name
on it, your favorite saying, or that has something you believe in on it. Or maybe you just fit in the middle, maybe you can try a cute tank top with a half jacket, a cardigan and tank, cute sweater, anything! As long as it describes.... you!

2. Pants: Next you'll need a bottom! This should depend on the way your shirt is built, the color of it, what it has on it, and if it fits right with the pants! Now for this you can choose a skirt, shorts, jeans, jeggings, etc. Colored jeans would go with a blouse, or a floral top. For a skirt you'll need a tight top. Not too tight though, just enough to compliment and match the skirt. Shorts would be fine with anything as long as the top is not longer then the shorts it'll be fine! If you want to do something nice like high waisted shorts, or lace shorts, I like to look on Pinterest for ideas or google. For high waisted shorts you can tuck in a blouse or wear a half shirt that you'd normally wear a tank underneath. For lace shorts keep it simple with a jean or beige blouse. But please NEVER mix color with color!

3. Shoes: Now you"ll want a pretty pair of shoes. If it's could out wear boots. Tuck your boots in your jeans. For a summery look wear sandals with some shorts. And any type of jeans look awesome with flats! But every pair of shoes you wear should go well with your outfit. Maybe one day you could wear jeans and a solid colored top to go with some patterned flats or Toms. If you're wearing a skirt or dress, sandals or flats would look nice, maybe even some boots if it's a lace or floral dress.

4. Accessories: This is the easiest and most fun part of an outfit. accessorizing! This is the way to add something extra to your outfit that describes your persionality! Only choose 1 accessory color depending on your outfit. If you have a floral top, colored jeans, patterned dress or top, then pick a color that goes with it. If you are wearing black and white, or a couple simple colors, add a new different color for your accessories with a pop! Just be sure not to mix to many colors. Your shoes, belt, and bag should all be the same color with jeans or shorts, keep that in mind every time you accessorize!

5. Hair: This is the final step to your outfit and can sometimes be the hardest! Try and plan what you are doing to your hair the day before. If you are like me and you can't do anything to your hair, try to twist part of it back, add a cute bow or clip, do a bun or side ponytail. For a specail occassion try a fancy undo or have someone do your hair. For a simple outfit do a simple style, fancy outfit, fancy style.

DIY ponytails

How to make DIY elastic poneytial holders:

You can purchase the elastics needed either at Michael's craft store, or you can order them off a website for 3dollars a big bunch (Link to the website is at the bottom).

Once you have recieved your elastics, cut them 9inches long. Depending on how thick your hair is you can cut it longer, or shorter, but 9inches is a great lentgh for any hair.

After you have cut your elastics tie them in a knot at the end. Any kind of knot you like you work perfectly. We did a loop knot like you would do for a bookmark or scarf.

(If the ends of your knot are fraying you can burn them with a lighter.)

I hope you guys enjoyed learning how to make DIY ponytails! Comment any questions

Sincerely,
Isabel
